The Organized Supply Chain Project
The supply chain organized for the valorisation of kiwi and watermelon fruit and vegetable products was created with the aim of creating an integrated and coordinated system for the fruit and vegetable sector through the project called "Filierakiwiecocomeri” designed and implemented to promote the competitiveness of the sector and respond to specific priorities of the agricultural sector. The project aims to promote and organize the agri-food supply chain by ensuring risk management in the agricultural sector and supporting the transformation and marketing of agricultural products.
Cooperation Objectives
The main objective is to enhance the profitability of agricultural companies and improve the competitiveness of agriculture through the introduction of innovative techniques that favor the sustainable management of resources and forests. Furthermore, the project encourages the efficient use of resources and the transition towards a climate-resilient low-carbon economy focused on the sustainable development of the agri-food and forestry sector.
The Needs of the Supply Chain
One of the main critical issues of the supply chain is represented by the high quality standards required which entail high production costs combined with the volatility of sales prices. Furthermore, the supply chain is fragmented due to the lack of collaboration between the subjects operating in the transformation and marketing to address these problems it is essential to focus on a highly organized production process that includes innovative technologies capable of improving cooperation between producers and marketing companies in order to obtain products of greater quality and economic value.
Proposed Solutions
Il progetto prevede l’utilizzo di piattaforme informatiche innovative che già oggi sono utilizzate con successo da altre aziende del settore e che si sono dimostrate essenziali per gestire correttamente la tracciabilità e la rintracciabilità dei prodotti queste piattaforme permetteranno alle aziende che aderiranno al progetto di organizzare al meglio i propri dati e ottimizzare la propria operatività grazie a questo sistema sarà possibile rispettare facilmente i regimi di qualità come quelli biologici o lo SQNPI garantendo prodotti conformi agli standard richiesti.

The functioning of the supply chain requires that each primary producer delivers its products to the entities in the supply chain responsible for transformation and marketing. Through this organized system, each participating company will have greater bargaining power which will allow it to obtain better prices for its products. This model will also guarantee a significant reduction. of waste, responding to the sustainability needs of contemporary society and will allow us to efficiently organize sowing and harvesting, reducing production costs and maintaining a constant supply on the market. The system will also favor production based on high quality standards, improving the competitiveness of the sector fruit and vegetables and contributing to the valorisation of agricultural products.
